NEW YORK, Sep 2, 2012/ — On Sep 7, 2012, Concept Korea returns to Lincoln Center to present the Spring/Summer 2013 collections of noted Korean designers. A proven talent platform, Concept Korea has chosen the best of Korean Design to show this season.

By Hong bum Kim, LIE SANG BONG By Lei Sang Bong, SON JUNG WAN by Song Jun Wan round out Concept Korea’s most talented group yet, set to take the US market by storm. The presentation will feature a performance by world renowned MARTHA GRAHAM DANCE COMPANY.

Behind Concept Korea, is a powerhouse of fashion’s most influential voices, who handpick each of the designers. The industry insiders include: FERN MALLIS, founder of New York Fashion Week, SIMON COLLINS, Dean of Parsons, COLLEN SHERING, Fashion Director of Saks Fifth Avenue, STAN HERMAN, former President of the CFDA, PHILLIP BLOCH, Stylist, ANN CARUSO, Stylist, JANE PAGE, VP at Balenciaga, CAROL SONG, Head Buyer at Opening Ceremony, SCOTT STUDENBERY, VP at Lanvin, TARYN LAEBAN,VP of Kate Spade and PHILIPPESOUSSAND, founder of Soussand Associates.

The Spring/Summer 2013 theme is “5 Directional Colors,” representing five natural elements including metal, wood, water, fire and earth. Relating each of the five colors to a principle of life, Korean culture has found an understanding for all relationships found in nature.

Symbolically, each of the five designers represents one of the elements, coming together to form Concept
Korea.
