For three years, the beautiful Spanish actress who reached international acclaim in 2001 when she starred with Tom Cruise in the movie “Vanilla Sky”, will headline Loewe’s advertising campaigns, the first one to be released early next year.
Commenting on her new role, Penélope Cruz says: ‘Loewe is an international brand proud of its Spanish roots with a rich history behind. Its collections are made by Spanish master artisans and I have always admired their work. I feel fortunate to be a part of this project.’
With Penelope Cruz going into the history books as Spain’s first Oscar-winning actress, and currently the only one on the list, it is truly fitting that she represent the famed Spanish luxury leather house founded in 1846, with 170 boutiques around the world. Loewe has been part of the LVMH group since 1996.
And importantly, Penelope already has a fan with Stuart Vevers, Loewe’s Creative Director, who commented that “Penélope’s strong, sensual beauty has long been an inspiration for me as a designer and a constant reference for my ideal of Spanish womanhood since I came to Loewe.”
