During Art Basel, PK SHOP will present present two new limited edition NewbarK pouchette clutches, designed in collaboration with painter Elliott Puckette and House of Waris designer Waris Ahluwalia. Puckette’s striking sinuous lines are faithfully reproduced on sumptuous leather, blending seamlessly with Newbark’s sleek truth-to-materials aesthetic.
The luxe pouchettes are trimmed with a signature House of Waris talisman accessory. Striking all on its own, the House of Waris key zipper-pull can also be worn as a bracelet or necklace charm.
Versatile and chic, NewbarK’s signature pouchette ingeniously blends elegance with function. Large enough for your iPad, diary and essential daily accessories— it’s also slim enough to slide quickly out of sight, on the plane, at the office or out on the town. Each of the two unique designs will be available in a limited edition of 100.
Represented by Paul Kasmin Gallery, painter Elliott Puckette’s lyrical abstract works weave a classical sense of proportion into a very contemporary context. Her elegant calligraphic lines, cut by razor blades, curve through color fields in a manner both charming and striking. Her work resides in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, The New York Public Library and the Fogg Museum at Harvard.
Led by stylists and sisters Marjan and Maryam Malakpour, NewbarK is well known for its invigorating take on leather flats —which have been embraced by the likes of Courteney Cox and Shirley Manson—as well as their versatile pouchette.
