MIAMI, Jul 17, 2013/ — Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM heats up with an exclusive party “Meet Betsey at The Betsey [Hotel]!” where the New York-based designer will preview her Spring/Summer 2014 swimwear collection.
Slated on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 7 PM to 10 PM, the event also celebrates the announcement of Betsey’s new partnership with innovative swimwear manufacturer, Malibu Design Group.
For the new Betsey Johnson swim line, the design team at MDG felt there is was no greater inspiration than Betsey herself. Using her infectious energy, quirky sensibility and great love of color to drive the design direction, MDG has infused the collection with a modern twist based on current trends, extensive travels, and great vintage finds. Full of ruffles, bows, peplums, embellishments, and sheer mesh inserts, the collection is truly Betsey-licious!
Betsey comments: “My swim is for the young and the forever young! It’s fun and flirty and a little bit rock and roll. I want my girls to feel good in my suits so it’s also all about the fit!”
