New York, September 13, 2013/ FW/ — Entitled ‘Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014’, for her Spring 2014 collection, Monique Lhuillier designed a collection composed of delicately balanced textures, innovative layering and sophisticated ease that evokes the art of sheer elegance.
The Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 collection consists of a rich color palette of coral fuchsia and red that pop against neutrals like cream, soft rose gold and nude evoking a bold sense of glamour.
Day embsembles in the Spring collection consisted of sophisticated silhouettes such as a palazzo pant romper, a lace sweater with removable embellished collar, lace tunic dresses and pencil skirts that skim below the knee, as well as cropped bandeaus detailed with textured organza and metallic threading.
For evening, the collection showcased traditional ensembles such as ball gown skirts and cropped bandeaus that evoked a sense of ease and elegance. These enchanting evening looks came in separates and were designed in rich hues of chocolate brown and composed of ombré chiffon textures with regal draping.
As for footwear, the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 shoe collection consisted of elegant, yet edgy gladiator sandals and pump-sandal hybrids designed in matte leather and soft suede. These footwear pieces were accented with signature architectural details that were offset by the introduction of studs and two-tone styles that came in a chocolate combo and a bright coral shade.
