PARIS, Nov 27, 2013/ — It happened halfway around the world in China, but Eva’s win in the Elite Model Look World Final (EMLWF) reverberated in all the fashion capitals of the globe.

On November 27, 2013, at the Poly Theater in Shenzhen, China, the 30th Anniversary edition of the Elite Model Look World Final went on stage where finalists from 54 countries compete in a series of runway challenges designed to put their modeling skills to the test.

The show which was inspired by Alexander McQueen’s geometric Spring/Summer 2005 Collection also featured 3 Elite supermodels – Malgosia Bela, Liu Wen and Charlotte Di Calypso, who walked the runway interspersed with the contestants.

In the end, four women prevailed: Eva from the Czech Republic who won first prize; Alexandra from Monaco who won second place. It was a tie for third place – Dalma from Hungary and Amilna from Angola.

The top 3 winners will receive prestigious modeling contracts from Elite with guaranteed remuneration: in 2013, €150,000, €100,000 and €50,000 respectively.

Since 2004, with two exceptions, the Elite Model Look World Final has been held in China, in recognition of its growing power in the fashion industry.

After Shanghai and Sanya, the economic powerhouse Shenzhen welcomed this unique contest, following an agreement signed in July 2013 between Elite and the Shenzhen Longhua New Disctrict Dalang Fashion Valley – this prestigious long-term agreement is aimed to raise the district into an international fashion platform.

Launched in 1983, Elite Model Look is the world’s largest international modeling contest, attracting hundreds of thousands of entrants annually from across the world.

Over the years, thanks to its authoritative scouting network, the contest has discovered scores of top models such as Cindy Crawford, Ming Xi, Sigrid Agren, Constance Jablonski, Fei Fei Sun and Gisele Bündchen amongst many other household names.
