NEW YORK, November 10, 2013/ FW/ — Entitled ‘Top Fashion Professionals Offer Career Advice at Lucky FABB 2013 Conference,’ Lucky Magazine recently hosted its annual Lucky Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference in New York City, which is a two-day event that invites over 250 talented style bloggers to attend a conference filled with seminars and career breakout panels hosted by the top fashion professionals. This year’s Lucky FABB conference series speakers included: the chic celebrities and Lucky Magazine cover stars, Eva Mendes and Kate Bosworth, Bryanboy, Gabi Gregg, Blogger of GABIFRESH, Erica Domesek, Founder of P.S. I Made This…, Lindsey Calla, Fashion Blogger and Stylist of Saucy Glossie, Amber Venz, Blogger and Founder of RewardStyle, and Mattias Swenson, CEO of Bloglovin’.
These stylish celebrities, bloggers, editors, stylists, and savvy social media and fashion technology professionals helped to give advice and expert tips to the Lucky FABB attendees. Talented blogger, BryanBoy evoked the important tip to “work with brands that are truly you, be yourself, wear what you love, while also putting your own spin on style, and most importantly, know that you have to evolve as a person.” The innovative entrepreneur, Amber Venz of RewardStyle expressed to bloggers the importance that you need to “be your own consultant, be authentic, and know that you are the best you that anyone can ever be.” The highly creative and stylish Lindsey Calla of Saucy Glossie evoked to the audience “think higher and dream bigger, but it is important to take risks but you have to believe in what you’re doing, and you want to stay hungry but don’t want to seem thirsty.”
There was also Founder Series sessions, which included the successful entrepreneurs such as Jess Lee of Polyvore, Tamara Mellon, the former Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Jimmy Choo, Katia Beauchamp of Birchbox, Deena Varshavskaya of Wanelo, Emily Weiss of Into The Gloss, Neil Blumenthal of Warby Parker, and Michelle Adams of Domino. The successful Neil Blumenthal of Warby Parker expressed that their team centers a specific point of view and design according to the needs and wants of their customers, and strongly evoked that “the direct relationship with customers is very important for engagement.” The highly experienced, Emily Weiss of Into the Gloss stated that she is strongly inspired by what’s beautiful for her blog and her best career advice is “to contain a nice presentation, unique point of view and vision, and the best way to get to know your audience is through digital because commenters on social media can become contributors.”
