PARIS, Dec 11, 2013/ — Tuesday, December 10th, Dice Kayek won the prestigious Jameel Prize in London at Victoria and Albert Museum which awards contemporary art talents inspired by Muslim tradition.
Sponsored by Dame Zaha Hadid, DBE, the Jameel Prize awards the winner with a prize of 25,000 pounds. It is the first time that fashion designers were participating and thus, Dice Kayek goes down in history as the inaugural winner. The winning entry is comprised of 3 dresses inspired by Istanbul monuments.
All the entries to the contest are on exhibit for free at the V&A Museum until April 21st, 2014
