Fashion Windows editor Darby Radcliff catches up with the talented designer, Nanette Lepore to discuss the inspiration behind her Fall 2014 Collection.

What was the inspiration for your Fall 2014 collection?

This year our theme was “Hand-crafted in New York”.

What were your favorite materials and hues used in your Fall 2014 collection?

My base palette starts with the neutrals camel, grey, and black. Then, it ranges from boysenberry to pastel pinks to merlot with just a hint of jade.

What was your favorite look in your collection?

I really loved all the oversized sweaters and the flowing dresses. It’s all about long on long for me.

What’s next for your brand?

I’m about to launch my homewear collection, Nanette Lepore Villa and I’m looking forward to meeting loyal customers in Houston and Los Angeles in the coming months.
