Calvin Klein Collection R16 (22)Presenting 22 looks of American classics reimagined through an architectural lens, Francisco Costa, Women’s Creative Director for Calvin Klein Collection focused on proportions for Resort 2016.

Emphasizing the torso with elongated silhouettes in varying widths, the Resort 2016 collection is an eclectic mix of light layers from sheer nylon t shirts to textural knits and soft leather skirts and pants.

A neutral color palette of optic white, umber and gold complemented by shades of forest, navy and black, carried throughout the collection, leading to a series of graphic printed looks that closed the show.

The printed looks were inspired by and translated from works by the artist Alice Lancaster, whom Mr. Costa recently connected with via Instagram and who was in attendance at today’s runway presentation.

A relaxed slip-on sneaker and luxe saddle clutches and cross body bags underlined the sexy, urban sensibility for the season.
