SS17 CONCEPT KOREATitled “Defining One’s True Self,” the Yohanix Spring/Summer 2017 collection reflects the designer’s view of today’s society and his thoughts on a world that is full of pride and prejudice. Through clothes, Yohan Kim expresses the frustration of people blinded by a misconception of being perfect and wanting to be accepted unconditionally – but rarely accepting others unconditionally – by stating, “Only G-d can Judge Me.”

Lace and denim, finished and raw, distressed and formal – the Yohanix woman is on a cusp and unsure whether she should be part of the establishment or continue to rebel against the status quo. The collection though could not be classified as high concept also made a statement and the message was received loud and clear.
