On 20 May 1873, Levi Strauss & Co patented the iconic 501 jeans. In order to celebrate this important anniversary, Levi’s has launched its collaboration with GOLF WANG inspired by a look with coloured polka dots presented in 2016 by Tyler, The Creator during his brand’s first fashion show.
The mini-collection, which will be available from May 20th on Levi.com, GOLFWANG.com and on Levi’s app, includes a vintage fit 501 ’93 ecru denim trucker jacket and 501 ’93 jeans. The two items, which perfectly embody the unique, sunny and eclectic style of the Californian artist, are finished with a special edition co-branded patch on the back.
On the occasion of the 501 Day, Levi’s also offers a few pairs of limited edition 501 jeans with a special Red Tabs with a big “E”. All labels will be wrapped in gold foil, so you will know whether your 501s will have a small or large “e” only after you purchase them.
