LOS ANGELES, Feb 19, 2008 / FW/ — Fidel Castro’s resignation as Cuba’s President might be headline news, but people are more interested with the 16th century British royals as two sisters, Anne and Mary Boleyn vie for the affection of King Henry VIII.
A royal catfight, a beheading and intrigues at Buckingham Palace, what more can you ask for? With Eric Bana playing the role of Henry VIII, Natalie Portman as Anne Boleyn and Scarlett Johansson as Mary Boleyn, the cast alone will make you want to see the movie.
Based on the historical novel ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ by British author Philippa Gregory, the movie will open in U.S. theaters on Feb 29, 10 days after the world premier at London’s Leicester Square.
Tonight, the film’s leading man, Eric Bana is expected to step out on the red carpet wearing a dunhill evening suit, dress shirt and bow tie. (I wonder what the girls will be wearing?)
