PARIS, Jul 6, 2008 / FW/ — Christophe Josse’s vintage-inspired collection was beautifully designed, but its mission was somewhat lost in the modernity of the setting in which it was presented. His suiting was impeccable, as was the embroidery detailing and fur collars.
The color palette was antique and warm, with accents of fuschia and cranberry. Most of the evening gowns were stunning, however some of the ruching and décolleté-bearing was reminiscent of the 1990s. The stunning black, shoulder-bearing dress with strategically placed, sheer layers of delicate tulle was my favorite of the collection.
