DALLAS, Oct 12, 2008 / FW / — Born in Manila, Philippines and raised in California, Daniel Emir Armosilla majored in Womenswear and Knitwear Design at AAU. His graduation collection was inspired by the California lifestyle – free, spirited and live their lives with a wherever the day takes them mentality.
“This mantra is carried into their travels, going to places like Guatemala and South Africa, which is where the jacquard patterns and silhouette shapes were derived for my collection,” said Daniel Emir Armosilla.
American & Efird, Inc. donated the orange day glow yarn and Iron Horse Safety Specialties donated the reflective ribbons used in his collection.
Born and raised in Chicago, Sheiglagh Hawkins is not a stranger to high fashion. Surprisingly enough, moving to South Carolina with its romantic past captured Sheiglagh's imagination. She fell in love with the costumes of the Pre-Civil War era and her love affair with fashion history began.
