Jill Stuart Fall 2009

NEW YORK, Feb 20, 2009 / FW/ — While Jill Stuart remained girly for Fall 2009, she also added a 1970s rock & roll elements giving the metro girl look that she had been proposing for the past several seasons a tough edge.

The frills and the ruffles are still there, but leather leggings, fishnet miniskirts /elongated shirts and bustier dresses in black made the Jill Stuart girl for Fall 2009 a rebel from the very organized social class she lives in.

Perhaps, its life imitating art or the other way around, but Jill Stuart’s star-studded front row reflects this interesting twist in the New York-based designer’s aesthetics. So who are at Jill Stuart’s front row?

Jessica Stroup from the new 90210 was there, and so are Kristin Bell, Michelle Trachtenberg, Paris and Nikki Hilton, Amanda Bynes, Gossip Girl Amanda Setton and Adrianne Palicki, of Friday Night Lights. Plus, the Divine Miss M, the original rebel, Bette Midler continues to draw the attention of the crowd and the photographers.
