Jeremy Scott Fall 2009
Jeremy Scott Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 10, 2009 / FW/ — Last Saturday, Jeremy Scott unveiled a kooky and fun-filled collection that the audience ooh’ed and aah’ed as they recognized their favorite cartoon characters – Mickey and Minnie Mouse as the inspiration of the collection.

Choosing black, white, red, pink, yellow and greens, colors that are usually associated with the world famous cartoons, Jeremy Scott sent out mini dresses featuring Mickey and Minnie inspired prints. Opening with a drop-down waist mini dress with Peter Pan collar and puff sleeves, Jeremy Scott immediately followed with carrot pants in suspenders, then a bustier dress with a bubble skirt.

To keep the ladies warm for winter, the Los Angeles-based designer proposed a coat / wrap made of Mickey Mouse white gloves.

Surprisingly, though Jeremy Scott kept his fun and wacky creed in this collection, there are actually a lot of wearable pieces. In fact, almost all of the pieces in the collection are wearable, i.e. if you don’t mind wearing a sweater dress with holes because they are supposed to be Swiss cheese for Mickey and Minnie.

But, the patent leather biker jacket and the button bustier sweater dress and the all-button dress can be worn right off the runway.
