Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2009

MILAN, Mar 4, 2009 / FW/ — Black is the new black, and Cristina Ortiz at Salvatore Ferragamo also proposed a lot of black ensembles. But, it was also a delight to see that she did not forget color as she sent different shades of red on the catwalk.

Strong and sharp silhouettes that are eye-catching; case in point – how can you miss the mini sweater dress with extra high turtleneck and broad shoulders with mutton sleeves? There is also the coat dress with petal sleeves and an oversized standing collar.

Ortiz coup de grace – a slinky strapless gown with a keyhole bodice adorned with a diagonal line made of the same material.

Cristina Ortiz’s geometric and architectural silhouettes are groundbreaking.
