|BARCELONA, Apr 11, 2009 (updated May 13, 2009) / FW/ — Born in Canada in 1980 Mark Fast began his training in design in Canada and then moved to London, where is also currently based, to complete his studies at the London College of Fashion and at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
With a specialty in knitwear design, he was hired immediately to work for English firm Bora Aksu and more recently for the French label Lanvin.
He has also taken part in the Harrods Design Competition (2008), the Chloe Design Competition (2007), and the Lancôme Colour Awards Competition (2006), and has presented a project for the ITS#SEVEN competition.
His clothes have been featured in publications, which include i-D, Grazia, Vogue (English edition), and Elle (US edition). He won the Topshop New Generation Award 2009 and the ITS#SEVEN i-D Styling Award.
Mark Fast designs under the label ‘MARKFAST’ a one-word rendition of his name.
