LONDON, Apr 21, 2009 / FW/ — Eric Bana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Chris Pine, JJ Abrams, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and John Cho were the stars at last night’s UK Premiere of Star Trek at The Empire Leicester Square in London, but it was Ozwald Boateng who caught this fashionista’s eyes.
Boateng who has had his own label before he was named Creative Director of Givenchy Homme left the French fashion house to concentrate in expanding his fashion empire. His foray into the U.S. market was the subject of the Sundance Channel ‘American Dream’ documentary.
Though Ozwald Boateng has not graced the Milanese menswear catwalk for some time, his is ever present in the fashion world via television, the latest being the BBC documentary ‘Why Style Matters.’
Still seeing him on Star Trek’s blue carpet (in lieu of red, the carpet was Star Trek’s shade of blue) was a little bit of a shock, though not surprising. After all, he dressed the male leads of the ‘Matrix: Revolutions’ in several of its premieres.
Now, it makes me wonder? Is Ozwald Boateng dressing the Star Trek crew?
