NEW YORK, Sep 29, 2009 / FW/ — It was a shoe lover’s delight at the DSW Shoes and Step Up Women’s Network shoe sale last Saturday, September 26th at the W Hotel 49th and Lexington in Manhattan.
With film and television personality Vanessa Minnillo served as honorary chair and Gossip Girl stars Kelly Rutherford and Michelle Trachtenberg attending, it was the chicest of the chic VIP champagne preview brunch and designer shoe sale.
Featuring labels that are sold at DSW Shoes stores – Botkier, Chinese Laundry, Decadestwo, Manolo Blahnik, Sergio Rossi, Stella McCartney, Valentino and DSW’s exclusive line of No. 704b styles among many others, the event helped raise funds for the Step Up Women’s Network program in New York.
A national non-profit membership organization dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls, Step Up Women’s Network, through teen empowerment programs for underserved girls, women’s health education and advocacy, professional mentorship and social networking opportunities, educate and activate its members to ensure that women and girls have the tools they need to create a better future.
