NEW YORK, Oct 19, 2009 / FW/ — It’s confirmed! New York loves Italo Zucchelli and the feeling is mutual. This coming February, Italo Zucchelli will unveil Calvin Klein Collection Fall 2010 collection in New York instead of Milan.

This will be the second time that Mr. Zucchelli will be showing Calvin Klein Collection Men at the Big Apple. Historically, the label unveils its menswear collection in Milan, with the exception of Fall 2009 when he showed in New York for the first time.

“Showing in New York last February was extremely successful, in terms of the response from both editors and retailers,” said Zucchelli.

“I felt very welcomed and I am looking forward to doing it again. As Calvin Klein is the quintessential American brand with a significant European base, I think that it’s an important statement of relevance that we are able to show the men’s collection in these two very important global fashion capitals,” the designer added.

The Fall 2010 Calvin Klein Collection men’s show will be presented within the ground floor event space at the company’s New York City headquarters at a date and time to be confirmed later.

Earlier this year, Mr. Zucchelli, who serves as the Men’s Creative Director for Calvin Klein Collection, was named by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) as the CFDA’s 2009 Menswear Designer of the Year. This is the first time Mr. Zucchelli has won this prestigious award, though he was previously nominated for the same award in 2007.
