Montse Bassons Spring 2010MADRID, Oct 20, 2009 / — A swimwear collection inspired by Paris and the French Riviera, Montse Bassons Spring 2010 collection proposes swimming costumes, bikinis and trikinis in basic colours such as black and white with lilac and purple brushstrokes.

The elegance of the garments recalls the golden years of the French summer and the glamour of the 50s.
Stripes, polka dots, flowers and geometrical and plain prints comprise this collection’s visual palette.

Born in Barcelona, Montse Bassons Boncompte trained to be a teacher, yet even while a student she knew that her true vocation is design, hence added it to her curricula.

In 1975, she founded a family firm called Basmar, a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of women’s swimming costumes and accessories.

The garments created by Montse Bassons for Basmar are characterized by their exclusivity and their meticulous and detailed designs.
