MADRID, Apr 3, 2010 / — With a thought provoking title, “Diva Couture Furs and Leather”, Miguel Marinero concentrated on the tradition of craftsmanship, pure line pattern design and light furs with a soft touch that constituted the proposal for the Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 season.

Though inspired by the great divas, whose sobriety is an indicator of elegance along with some brushstrokes of the glam of the legendary icons of Hollywood, Miguel Marinero took a different approached and distanced the collection from any fashion-determining barometer.

Instead, he decided to give his own version of the woman who rejects formalisms; an entrepreneurial yet always feminine woman.

White with pearl; sand with Gresite reflections, browns combined with felines and blacks with whites for the evening dominated the collection. Lapin, fox, stretch suede and nappa are combined with mink, astrakhan and sables are the material of choice, emphasizing luxury.

Stylized bodies; high necks with a double function and/or in the shape of a large peak while waistlines are tightened with belts but, on occasions, backs are left loose and frontward belts enhance the waistline. Gathered bottoms giving bodies a pyramid shape are ongoing in the collection.
