MILAN, Jun 19, 2010 / FW/ — Graphic, athletic and sporty, the Calvin Klein lad is a manly man that unsurprisingly brings to mind the current faces of Calvin Klein Underwear – Kellan Lutz, Mehcad Brooks, Heditoshi Nakata and Fernando Verdasco.

With the resurgence of the retrosexual (a man who adopts a traditional masculine style in dress and manners), Italo Zucchelli, Men’s Creative Director for Calvin Klein Collection created sexy yet utilitarian silhouettes that are graphically cut and uniform.

Focused on proportion, volume and scale, Italo Zucchelli’s vision of modern American sportswear is realized in advanced fabrics repurposed for an active lifestyle where extreme proportions are executed on clean, highly textured surfaces to emphasize movement, casually.

The dropped shoulder detail is evident on oversized chino shirts, t shirts, and bombers, and counter balanced with a tapered leg pant or short trunks. Iconic bomber jackets are executed in modern coated cotton twills, with a detachable lower half or offered in an elongated style. The new sport trouser with cotton chino at back and contrast nylon at front.

And as previously announced, the runway show held earlier today will be replayed this evening in Milan on the outdoor LED screen in the Piazza del Duomo from 7:30-8:00pm directly before the 2010 Fifa World Cup game. This is the second time that the men’s runway show has been featured in this way in the Piazza del Duomo.
