DALLAS, Dec 3, 2011/ FW/ — Already a household name in his native Lebanon, renowned fashion designer continues to capture the fashionistas’ attention in Europe and here in the U.S. with his breathtaking creation.

Last Nov 28 in Paris, Georges Hobeika presented his original doll creation he handcrafted for the Frimousses de Créateurs de l’Unicef, a charitable organization that supports UNICEF’s programs to help children in the Darfur region.

The annual doll exhibition is held in Paris at the start of the holiday shopping season and this year, the Frimousses de Créateurs de l’Unicef is being held at the Petit Palais from November 28 to December 4. The auction of the dolls will be held on December 13th.

For the event, Georges Hobeika created a doll with long dress in golden beige silk tulle, embroidered with pearl leaves, a design based on one of his couture gowns presented during Paris Haute Couture Week.Mr. Hobeika’s couture doll was received with much praise and was selected as one of the top three dolls of the event.

Meanwhile, on November 28th in Beijing, Chen Luyu, China’s ‘Oprah’ of daytime television, looked beautiful in Georges Hobeika for her hosting of the Song Zuying concert. Luyu selected a blush, sleeveless gown with an embroidered waist belt from Georges Hobeika’s Fall-Winter 2011-12 Couture collection.

In Los Angeles, on November 30th, Actress Rachel Nichols is gorgeous in Georges Hobeika at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s A Magical Evening Gala at Cipriani Wall Street. Nichols graced the red carpet in a midnight blue tiered chiffon Georges Hobeika prive gown reflecting the era of Old Hollywood glamour.

On November 20th, Georges Hobeika made a special gown for the opening of 51 EAST, Qatar’s newest and most luxurious shopping mall. The creation is a one-of-a-kind design to be on display throughout the Christmas season and marks Georges Hobeika’s anticipated retail partnership with the Doha shopping destination.
