fashion law bootcamp

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 19, 2014/ — The original Fashion Law Bootcamp program for fashion professionals, attorneys, and law and design students, now entering its fourth year in New York, is coming to San Francisco.

Levi Strauss & Co. and the Fashion Law Institute have partnered to offer a West Coast edition of the original Fashion Law Bootcamp, a unique annual summer intensive program that brings together fashion professionals, attorneys, and law and design students to experience the newly defined field of fashion law outside of the regular university curriculum.

The program, offered for the first time outside of New York and the Institute’s home at Fordham Law School, will take place from August 4-9, 2014.

Together with guest lecturers from throughout the fashion industry, participants attending Fashion Law Bootcamp will explore diverse areas of the law and business of fashion, including intellectual property, business and finance, international trade and government regulation, and consumer culture and civil rights.

Past Fashion Law Bootcampers have come from companies ranging from Marc Jacobs to Forever 21 and from across the country and around the world. They have gone on to grow their own fashion lines, work at fashion houses or with clients in the industry, and even found law firms.
