PARIS, Jan 7, 2014/ — For the pre-Fall 2014 season, the House of Vionnet continues to explore its deep and far-reaching archives and found pleating, one of Madame Vionnet’s favorite techniques.
Used throughout the collection, the calculated geometry and proportions that has been part of Madame Vionnet’s style also found its way to the Pre-Fall 2014 accessories. Combining the maison’s rich history with contemporary interpretations, the same effortless elegance was achieved beginning with the austere yet feminine shape of the felt hat.
The shoes take on the different souls of the Vionnet woman. Her more masculine and pragmatic side can choose from elegant pointe slippers, while the artistic and sophisticated opts for precious pumps revealing deconstructed pyramid-shaped sculptural heels.
She can also follow her adventurous spirit with open-toe booties that combine sandals with a thickly knitted wool sock.
Moreover, the pre-fall 2014 season marks the debut of the new “Mosaic Bag.” Available in two sizes – medium and large – this versatile bag can be customized with ease, since every bag in the “Mosaic” line has two or three parts, respectively, sold separately to meet the needs of each and every woman, while at the same time respecting Vionnet’s signature style: elegant and avant-garde.
