NEW YORK, Aug 31, 2009 / FW / — On Thursday, Sep 10, 2009, the Calvin Klein Collection store at Madison Avenue will open its doors for “Fashion’s Night Out” featuring a live performance by musician Jamie Burke and an art installation to benefit ACRIA.
Calvin Klein Collection’s creative director’s Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli will host – alongside special guests actress Michelle Monaghan and Olympic fencer Jason Rogers – a one-of-a-kind evening of shopping and cocktails with special incentives and surprises for those in attendance.
There will be live acoustic performances by musician Jamie Burke on the main floor. Burke, who fronts the band burke., can presently can be heard performing the anthem of the latest ck one fragrance commercial, in which he is also featured.
Additionally, the brand’s creative director’s Costa and Zucchelli will be on hand to give clients style advice and one-on-one fashion consultations, as well as autograph the official “Fashion’s Night Out”
t-shirts which will also be available for sale.
Calvin Klein Collection has also partnered with Aids Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA) for a unique art installation and silent auction with proceeds to be donated to benefit this important organization. Works to be on exhibit and available for purchase are by artists and photographers such as Ross Bleckner, Donald Baechler, Steven Klein, Mary Heilmann, Christopher Wool, Terence Koh, Kenny Scharf, and Michael Bevilaqua.
In honor of Fashion’s Night Out, $250 Calvin Klein Collection gift cards will be given for every $1000 spent that evening.
Additionally, Calvin Klein Collection will contribute to the Fashion’s Night Out on-line Shop for Good Sweepstakes, with a donation of a $1000 gift certificate towards a series of $5000 prizes courtesy of Fashion’s Night out for one lucky winner.
“Fashion’s Night Out” is a global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion. In the U.S., it is being held in conjunction with New York Fashion Week.
