Still, the City of Angels has its own strength. As Fern Mallis, SVP of IMG Fashion said, “Los Angeles is such an interesting city and its fashion scene is ever evolving.” Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios announced the preliminary lineup of designers for the Fall/Winter 2008 Collections today, which will take place at Smashbox Studios in Culver City from March 9-13, 2008. The designers announced today include Kelly Nishimoto, Orthodox Clothing, Julia Clancey, Whitley Kros, Octavio Carlin, Joseph Domingo, Suh-Tahn, Falguni Creations, Bow & Arrow by Alan Del Rosario, Lauren Conrad Collection, Maggie Barry for Xubáz, Nicholai, The Gallery, Jenny Han, Kevan Hall, Samora, Monarchy Collection, Ashley Paige and Pussycat Dolls. “Many of the designers who are showing with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios are debuting their collections for the first time and we are honored to be the premier destination for LA fashion shows,” said Smashbox Studios co-founder Davis Factor. “Keeping in tune with last seasons green theme, we are moving forward with almost all of our eco friendly initiatives, it is important to keep the focus on a creating a better future for our planet and for Los Angeles,” Factor added. |
