PARIS, Apr 21, 2008 / FW/ — The Paris social set gathered Thursday night April 17th at 1, rue du Vieux Colombier, one of Zadig & Voltaire’s Paris locations to see Louis Bertignac perform.

A famed guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, Louis Bertignac is an ex Shakin’ Street member and a founding member in 1976 of the rock band Téléphone. After Telephone’s breakup in 1986, Bertignac formed Bertignac et les Visiteurs. He went solo in 1993.

In 2004, Bertignac produced, arranged and played guitar on the debut album by the current French First Lady, Carla Bruni, “Quelqu’un m’a dit.” Bruni in turn contributed lyrics to 10 of the 12 songs on Bertignac’s 2005 Longtemps.

Thierry Gillier, Zadig & Voltaire president, hosted the soiree. Virginie Efira, Axelle Lafont and Evelyne Bouix were among the celebrity guests.
