LOS ANGELES, Jun 10, 2008 / FW/ — The U.S. might be in summer reruns already, but in Australia, new shows are actually premiering. The highly successful reality series about budding fashion designers, ‘Project Runway,’ will have its Australian version under the auspices of FOXTEL and Fremantle Media.
Headlining the Australian Project Runway are Kristy Hinze who will be hosting the show, the counterpart of Heidi Klum, Jayson Brunsdon who will be a judge and the counterpart of Michael Kors, Sarah Gale, who will cast her commercial eye over contestants’ designs and Henry Roth will mentor the contestants.
As a key member of the judging panel, Brunsdon will keep a close eye on the contestants’ designs and make sure they fit the mold for triumphing in contemporary fashion.
Australia’s FOXTEL and Fremantle Media have announced that they will begin to film their version of the global hit series to air on their Arena channel later this year.
