New York Spring 2009

NEW YORK, Sep 11, 2008/ FW/ — Carlos Campos introduced crisp texture and clean palettes of stone grays and summer whites accented by a futuristic blue that screamed a confident and sexy Spring 2009 collection. Silhouettes were derived from strong hard lines accompanied by aviator inspired details.

His inspiration was clearly communicated in his men’s collection of mainly trousers, jackets, cumber vests and that well known signature black tie. Spring is calling for a heavy tailored short with lightweight button up shirts with simple details.

Subtle textures accented by occasional hints of Rio plaid allowed the construction; detail and shape speak for its self. Carlos masters the art of tailoring by using exceptional and unexpected fabrics.

Keep your eyes out for the black shine tuxedo with a lapel that offers a unique detail that happened to be an interesting quirk. Spring suiting is offered in Rio plaid, gunmetal tropical wool with a luster that made his garments suitable for the seasons.

Spring 2009 unveiled Campos first ever women’s collection. Poised jumpsuits that elongated the figure with sporty short jackets rocked the runway. Low waist trousers with tapered ankles were a throw back along with silky bold tanks. The heavily men inspired women’s collection climaxed with a futuristic blue short paired with a short blazer and high collar.

This brand extension of women’s wear is an official introduction of many successful women’s collections yet to come by Campos.
