LONDON, Dec 12, 2008 / FW/ — Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Russell Brand and Director Adam Shankman attended the red carpet premiere of their movie ‘Bedtime Stories’ at London’s Odeon Kensington Thursday.
A Christmas offering from Walt Disney, ‘Bedtime Stories’ is a family comedy about a hotel handyman whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.
Interviewed by the UK Press, Adam Sandler commenting on the movie said, “Well you know it’s a nice movie – it’s about kids having an imagination and being good to your family and it’s supposed to make you laugh, mostly it’s a funny movie.”
While the two American stars Adam Sandler and Keri Russell were more than happy to answer questions from the press and sign autographs for fans, British-born Russell Brand was pointedly very quiet during the whole affair. The comedian refused to answer questions from reporters however and stuck to simply smiling and waving to fans.
A well known comedian in the U.K. before coming to the U.S., Brand made his first public appearance in his London since the Andrew Sachs phone prank scandal last October 18, 2008. Brand issued a public apology and resigned from his Radio 2 show at BBC because of the scandal.
