PARIS, Dec 19, 2008 / FW/ — Design duo Sandrina Fasoli & Michael Marson, designing under the label Sandrina Fasoli won the first ever El Boton – Mango Fashion Awards. Open to all designers worldwide, the El Boton – Mango Fashion Awards grants 300,000 euros to the winner and also gives them the chance to design an exclusive collection for Mango, which will be distributed globally.

Graduates of the prestigious Ecole National des Artes Visuels de la Cambre in Brussells, Fasoli and Marson launched their own label in 2003, right after they won two prizes at the Festival International des Arts de la Mode in Hyeres, France.

With their work based on a design philosophy of continuity, stability, relevance and homogeneity, the Sandrina Fasoli label gradually matured and evolved after every collection. That quality was recognized by the Board of Judges of El Boton, with none other than Italian design maestro Valentino as chairman.

For the Sandrina Fasoli for Mango Collection, which will be available in Mango stores worldwide in January 2009, Fasoli and Marson designed 11 very feminine pieces in lavender, old rose and cloud as the main color palette and accentuated with black for drama.

Loose silhouettes were given movements with pleats on very light fabrics such as silk and gauze, the Sandrina Fasoli for Mango Collection combines elements of the classic tuxedo, asymmetrical features and pleats.
