MILAN, Jan 21, 2009 / FW/ — Rossella Jardini’s Fall 2009 collection for Moschino reminded of a TV advertising in the U.S. of Travelers Insurance. A man wearing a bowler hat and a sturdy coat is walking around with a gigantic red umbrella to protect everyone under its shade.
Moschino, a label known for its tounge-in-cheek treatment of fashion felt the public’s pulse this season and understood that what people want is some assurance that things will be alright.
And in a collection that even the MAd Men will be proud, Jardini sent out men in bowler hat wearing slate gray or pinstripe suits. They are somber and dependable, and probably not the partying kind of guy. But those are the men we need right now – no nonsense, trustworthy, reliable and most of all, someone you can depend on.
