PARIS, Jan 19, 2009 / FW/ — A unique collaboration between fashion designers and perfumers; Alexandre Herchcovitch, Bernhard Willhelm, Cosmic Wonder Light Source, Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi together with Joachim Correll, Lucas Sieuzac, Philippe Paparella, Emilie Coppermann, Philippe Roques, and Mark Buxton, respectively to create six scents.
‘Urban Tropicalia’ by Alexandre Herchcovitch and Joachim Correll evokes freedom and sensuality. Striking and emblematic the same way that Alexandre Herchcovitch creates fashion, Urban Tropicalia is a unisex perfume.
‘Wicken 3000’ by Bernhard Willhelm and Lucas Sieuzac is a light, clean scent with a back to nature attitude.
‘The Spirit of Wood’ by Cosmic Wonder Light Source and Philippe Paparella was inspired by a walk through a eucalyptus forest is a rough and natural fragrance using a lot of essential oils with a focus on woody notes.
‘Diagonal’ by Gareth Pugh and Emilie Coppermann plays on the contrast of raw materials – masculine and feminine, dark and light, fresh and sensual.
‘Illicit Sex’ by Jeremy Scott and Philippe Roques as the name implies is an essay on love, the encounter of fragility and strength.
‘Teen Spirit’ by Preen and Mark Buxton captures the English summer garden after a rain – light, natural and floral.
Individually numbered with custom packaging, only 2,000 units will be manufactured, make them highly covetable. And because this collection is the first of the series of Six Scents to be released, they are true collectibles.
These fragrances will be unveiled in Paris on Thursday, January 22 at the Espace Commines from 1800 to 2030 by invitation only.
