Missoni Fall 2009
Missoni Fall 2009

MILAN, Feb 27, 209 / FW/ — If summer 2009 is a whirlwind of colors for Missoni, fall 2009 / winter 2010 is about literally being wrapped up as Angela Missoni sent models wearing layers of scarves, sweater dresses and leggings in the rich shades of fall.

Leveraging the brand’s forte – knitting and knitwear, Angela Missoni created wispy shift dresses that looked like it was made of lace from afar, but a closer inspiration proves that it is actually knitwear!

Leggings and trousers became interchangeable as texturized “leggings” were introduced, which could be worn as a pair of tights or as a pair of skinny pants.

With the knitted scarves styled on the models to look as if they are Senator Amidalah (played by Natalie Portman in Star Wars), Angela Missoni also reached the digital generation. Actually, this clever move was not lost among the buyers present. This new proposed look for scarves also attract the Middle East clientele wherein a head scarf is part of their everyday costume.
