PARIS, Mar 11, 2009 / FW/ — Proposing multiple permutations of the coat, Giambatista Valli will us all stylishly warm during Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 with his boxy coats, floor length shawls and double breasted winter coats.
But, don’t think that the collection is only about outerwear. Valli also sent out sumptuous gowns and eveningwear that are highly covetable and desirable. Yet it was the coats that stood out.
Take the orange double breasted mini coat which was also suggested in animal print and jacquard blue. With its wide lapel, kimono sleeves and a hemline that reaches mid-thigh, it’s sexy without being overt specially when worn with leggings, which by the way is the de rigueur come fall.
The floor length shawl is perfect for those weekend jaunts in the country and the ankle-length gown with wide lapels, big pockets and pronounced waists will look good anywhere.
