PARIS, Mar 11, 2009 / FW/ — You know that black is a big trend if Leonard, the Parisian house known for its signature print has black as a major ‘color’ or non-color.
Sending structured Milano jersey solids highlighted with appliqué work or a lurex cord, Veronique Leroy, the Creative Director of Leonard placed modernity as the central focus of the Fall 2009 array of Leonard prints.
Proposing eccentric mega jewels, soft tweedy tartans, flamboyant cascading maxi flowers to reversible leopard print in an unusual color scheme, Leroy succeeded in making Leonard hip while keeping the house’s DNA intact.
Accessories had also begun to play a key part in Leonard’s traditions. Handbags, clutches and belts done in animal print and calfskin or metallic leather and quilted flowers echo Leonard’s print heritage.
