NEW YORK, Apr 1, 2009 / FW/ — ‘Big Love’ star Ginnifer Goodwin attended the opening night of the legendary 1960s “Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical” at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Broadway wearing a black silk organdy jacquard origami pleated sleeve dress from Pre-Fall 2009 Calvin Klein Collection, designed by Francisco Costa.
Currently enjoying in the best reviews and also great ticket sales, ‘Hair’ is the liveliest show in Broadway, according to the Associated Press.
But, wait… It’s not just Ginnifer Goodwin and ‘Hair’ who are presently basking in the limelight. Calvin Klein Jeans introduced the Body collection last week, also garnering rave reviews.
‘Subtly sexy and refined eighties,’ Calvin Klein Jeans Body focuses on enhancing the body through a new fit, which according to Kevin Carrigan, creative director of Calvin Klein Jeans took over nine months to develop.
With a return to dressing, the Body collection is more sartorial than previous offerings. Previously, denim had been centered in finishes, embellishments and different washes. With the Body collection, it is about the fit and silhouette.
So, how do we spot the Calvin Klein Jeans Body collection? The yoke seam on the back of the jean is reversed; the seam curves outward, following the curve of the body. An elastic band had also been added at the waistband so that the jeans continue to hug the body even while you’re sitting or bending.
The Calvin Klein Jeans Body collection might as well be the best thing you can add to your denim closet. Look for it where Calvin Jeans are sold.
