Meanwhile, Y-3 fans have something to rejoice about and look forward to next spring. Samsonite and Y-3 have signed a long term licensing agreement to create luggage and accessories collection that will be launched during the Spring / Summer 2010 season.
Under the terms of the agreement, Samsonite will be responsible for the manufacture and distribution of the new collection that includes include bags, cases and leather goods with a global license.
“Y-3 was born from the fusion of two, apparently, irreconcilable elements – sport and style. With Adidas, we wanted to create something that did not exist, a great innovation for the future,” Yohji Yamamoto who is at the creative helm of Y-3 said in a statement.
