Palme D'OrCANNES, May 18, 2009 / FW/ — During the weeklong Cannes Film Festival, the red carpet at the Croisette might be the scene to be seen, but it is the private dinners that matters to know who are the elite among the elite.

Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, co-president of Chopard and Roberto Cavalli hosted a private dinner on the magnificent roof of the Chopard Lounge at the hotel Martinez attended by intimate friends.

A breathtaking view of the bay of Cannes along with a romantic sunset welcomed the guests invited by Chopard and Cavalli. It was the wish of Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, Roberto and Eva Cavalli to welcome close friends on the terrace of the Chopard Lounge; a dream space away from the busy and hectic atmosphere of the festival.

Illuminated by 200 candles and surrounded by pale rose poppy flowers, guests lounged on sofas covered by stylish Cavalli chinchilla blankets which contributed to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the evening.

Among the guests, Chopard’s ambassadress Eva Herzigova accompanied by Gregorio Marsiaj, Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt, Moran Atias, Peaches Geldof, Francesca Versace et Cécile Togni honoured the dinner with their presence.

On the menu was a delicious asparagus risotto served with Patanegra ham, accompanied by Boizel Champagne and Château de Cays wines. Suddenly, the atmosphere became highly electric thanks to the Gypsy Queens and their live music, which made all guests dance under the star lighted sky until late…
