MILAN, Jun 4, 2009 / FW/ — Brioni, the quintessential Italian clothing label extended its reach to Turkey with the opening of a 160-square-meter boutique in Istanbul in the prestigious Nisantasi luxury district.

The idea behind the new store was to meet the demands of the European and Middle Eastern market, making available not only Brioni’s ready-to-wear collection but also a made-to-measure tailoring service to meet the needs of a clientele that won’t stop in its search for excellence.

“For us, opening the sales location in Istanbul is a source of great pride, and confirms that our clientele is increasingly appreciative of the tailoring excellence of Brioni clothing,” said Andrea Perrone, CEO of the Brioni Group.

In the past two years, Brioni opened 20 free-standing stores around the globe as it expands its operations and its clientele multiplies.

A historic city in every definition, Istanbul is a magical location, a true bridge between east and west, where Brioni introduced itself on the runway in 1975. With the opening of the new boutique last May, Brioni marked a milestone in its history as it continues to strive for exclusivity and uniqueness.

The new Istanbul store follows recent openings in Cannes; New Delhi and Mumbai in India; Kuala Lumpur; Saint Petersburg, Kiev and Ekaterinburg in Russia; Dubai (UAE); Baku (Azerbaijan) and Almaty (Kazakhistan).

Within the year openings are also planned in Shanghai, Beirut and Lugano.
