MIAMI, Jul 19, 2009 / — For her Resort 2010 Swim collection, Hoffman drew inspiration from a spiritual exploration in the desert, which translated into a variety of unique silhouettes and colorful psychedelic prints, ranging from bold and bright, to softer and more feminine.
The swim range features various styles that flatter every body type, including super sexy one-pieces for lounging poolside and more playful bikinis, perfect for a standout look at the beach.
Drawing inspiration from both the desert and the universe, the color palette varies from black, red and yellow, to lavender and blue.
A graduate of Parsons School of design, Mara Hoffman made her mark in the fashion scene with her bold-colored prints and exotic designs.
Catching the attention of Patricia Field, the costume designer of HBO’s ‘Sex & the City’, Hoffman’s creations were featured in the hit television series. Since then, the New York-based designer had gone from strength to strength.
Specialty dyed garments made of jersey-knit make up the look of Hoffman’s unique designs. Inspired by nature and world culture, her line consists of silk tops, cashmere coats and an extensive line of swimwear and sandals.
