julie_haus_popupNEW YORK, Aug 27, 2009 / FW/ — Shooting three birds with one stone during New York Fashion Week, Julie Haus forays into retail for the first time with the opening of a Pop-Up store in Soho on Sep 3.

Located at 93 Mercer Street, the 4200-square-feet pop-up store will serve as the venue for Julie Haus Spring / Summer 2010 catwalk show on September 10th at 7:00 PM. Immediately after the fashion show, the venue will be converted into a retail space again for Fashion’s Night Out from 8-11pm.

The pop-up store which will remain open until October 4 will feature the Julie Haus Fall / Winter 2009 collection and the designer’s new diffusion line, J/J by Julie Haus, that will debut at the store.

And to show appreciation for its clientele, the first 5 customers to spend $500 at the Julie Haus Pop-Up store on September 3rd will receive a gift card worth $100 at Beauty.com

“I am extremely excited to have a place where the line can be viewed in its entirety. And, it will be wonderful to interact directly with our customer,” says Haus.

Though only temporary, the store marks the brand’s foray into retail. “We want to reach out to our clientele on a personal level with this pop-up,” states Haus’ partner Jason Alkire.

The Julie Haus label has always sold well at retailers, but the intent here is to showcase more breadth than a typical boutique or major department store. The typical Julie Haus retailer may offer six to ten styles, while the Julie Haus pop-up shop will have 40 to 50 styles.
