NEW YORK, Sep 30, 2009 / FW/ — After the successful unveiling of its Spring 2010 womenswear collection designed by Francisco Costa, Calvin Klein turned its attention to HOME as it opened a Lifestyle Shop and debuted its Curator Collection at ABC Carpet & Home today.

Showcasing a range of products from the Calvin Klein Home collection, the new shop at ABC Carpet and Home offers tabletop, beddings, rugs and now furniture, all presented within a unique lifestyle environment.

The opening of the new retail space marks the debut of “the curator collection by Calvin Klein Home” furniture line in New York City.

An elegantly detailed offering consisting of approximately 65 skus, the latest additions to the Calvin Klein Home furniture line are modern, timeless pieces designed in keeping with the brand aesthetic.

The line takes inspiration from the Calvin Klein apparel and accessory lines, as evidenced in the materials and hardware and includes pieces for the living room, dining room, and bedroom, including sofas, chairs, dining tables, coffee and side tables, beds, mirrors, and bookcases.

The shop opening will be celebrated with an invitation-only cocktail party on Thursday, October 1st hosted by Margaret Russell, Vice President and Editor in Chief of ELLE DECOR, where guests will be encouraged to experience the furniture in a minimalist yet realistic setting within the newly designed space on the 2nd floor, which will span over 3,750 square feet.

Key executives of the company will be in attendance, along with Amy Mellen, Creative Director Calvin Klein Home in support of this important retail initiative, as well as other influencers from within the interior design and fashion communities.
