Lacoste Spring 2010NEW YORK, Sep 13, 2009 / FW/ — With the models wearing a bandana on their hair and blue as a predominant color, the relaxing summer of Côte d’Azur comes to mind.

Sportive with the definitive French flair, Christophe Lemaire effortlessly evoked the French Riviera in the Spring 2010 collection that makes you want to pack you back and enjoy the Mediterranean.

As already mentioned here for before, globalization and the blurring of geographical lines has the unintended effect of localization, i.e. people are becoming locavores and look into their cultures more than before.

Unintended or not, Christophe Lemaire’s Spring 2010 collection for Lacoste amplifies that trend. Though no longer a buzzword, ‘going local to go global,’ it still exists and going strong.
