PARIS, Oct 3, 2009 / FW/ — That the official confirmation by Renzo Rosso that Martin Margiela has left his eponymous fashion house made the fashion headlines instead of the maison’s Spring 2010 collection is an indication of how much the fashion set is missing the Belgian designer.

Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2010

The collection that was presented did not have that usual piazzas that we expect from Maison Martin Margiela; even the puzzling silhouettes that make you think are gone.

What was left were a strapless Hawaiian print shift dress draped and crumpled; a wader in shorts and gauze blouse with Goth tendencies and a copper mini dress with exaggerated shoulder and a removable train. And somehow, the collection made you ask more questions than it provided answers.
