DALLAS, Nov 12, 2009 / FW/ — This week, it’s a little bit country, it’s a little bit rock & roll and lots of glam!
First, Morena Baccarin rocked Calvin Klein Collection when she wore a black and brown jacquard cowl neck dress from the Resort 2010 Calvin Klein Collection designed by Francisco Costa, the brands’ Women’s Creative Director at the TV Guide Magazine’s Hot List Party at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California held last Tuesday night.
Ms. Baccarin currently stars in the new television show “V” which premiered on November 3rd on ABC and she is set to star in the upcoming film “Stolen Lives” with Jon Hamm and Josh Lucas due for release in late November 2009.
For Stargate SG-1 fans, Morena Baccarin was Adria, the leader of the Ori who created havoc in the known universe during the 10th season of the show.
For Firefly fans, she is Inara Serra, a Companion, which is the 26th century equivalent of a courtesan or oiran.
Like her Renaissance counterparts, Inara enjoys high social standing. Her presence confers a degree of legitimacy and social acceptance the crew of Serenity would not have without her on board.
Speaking of Calvin Klein Collection, Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in “Twilight,” wore a charcoal wool suit and black button down shirt from the Fall 2009 Calvin Klein Collection designed by Italo Zucchelli, the brands’ men’s Creative Director, when he appeared at a fan event for the film, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” at Battersea Evolution in London last evening.
Mr. Lautner also wore black lace-up shoes from the Fall 2009 Calvin Klein Collection.
And now, for our lil’ bit of country, Tracy Reese and Grace Sun are becoming favorites of country music stars.
Last night, at the 43rd Annual Country Music Awards, which aired live on ABC and both host, Carrie Underwood and “Entertainer of the Year” Taylor Swift wore Tracy Reese dresses!
Carrie donned the Tracy Reese Black Label Long Godet Slip in Pastel Garden with Flowers and she looked gorgeous!
Taylor also looked fabulous as she sang her new hit single, “Fifteen”, for her second performance of the night, wearing the Tracy Reese Surplice Frock in Violet, before winning the biggest award of the night, “Entertainer of the year”!
And in another affair, at the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition event, country singer Kellie Pickler wore a Grace Sun ruffle top in periwinkle when she performed in front of a live audience.
Now, for TOTAL GLAM, Roberto Cavalli, Martin Katz and Georges Hobeika are our men!
Last Monday, at the El Capitan Theater is Los Angles, during the premiere of Walt Disney Picture’s “Old Dogs” starring John Travolta and Robin Williams, Kelly Preston was spotted wearing a black dress with black sequins detail by Roberto Cavalli from the pre-fall 2009 collection.
Kelly attended the premiere with her husband John Travolta and their daughter Ella Bleu Travolta.
Meanwhile, in the other side of town, Ashley Judd was being honored by USA Today at the annual USA Today Hollywood Hero Award which presented yearly to an entertainment industry humanitarian who has made remarkable contributions of time and energies with non-profit organizations dedicated to enriching the quality of life for others.
Judd is being named a Hollywood Hero for her tireless work as a Global Ambassador for PSI’s (Population Services International) HIV education and prevention program, YouthAIDS since 2002.
Beautiful as always, Ashley Judd attended the event wearing a stunning in a black dress and Martin Katz yellow cognac diamond earrings.
The USA Today Hollywood Hero Award recipient is unique in that his or her efforts extend far beyond charitable contributions or lending one’s celebrity to enhance a cause or concern.
And finally, though this photograph was taken last August 14, I just to put it in because teenage heartthrob Vanessa Hudgens just looked delicious in a mini cream cocktail dress with floral embroidery from Georges Hobeika’s Fall-Winter 09/10 ready-to-wear collection.
And the reason why I’m running this photo again is because Hobeika is launching his ready-to-wear line in the U.S. Previously, it was only available in Europe and in the Middle East. Now, if you want to dress like Vanessa, you can!
